What MortgageMasher.ca collects, what it doesn't, and how the calculator actually works under the hood.
The mortgage calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. Your home price, down payment, interest rate, and every other number you enter is never sent to, or stored on, our servers — it's calculated on your device and disappears when you close the tab. The only information we ever actually receive is what you choose to type into the contact form on our Contact page.
All calculator inputs — home price, down payment, interest rate, amortization period, payment frequency, property tax, condo fees, and insurance — are processed with JavaScript in your own browser. Nothing you enter into the calculator is transmitted to, logged by, or stored on our servers.
The Email Results feature opens your own email application with a pre-filled message, using your device's standard mailto: link. The recipient address and message content go directly from your email client to whoever you send it to — they never pass through our servers, and we never see them.
If you fill out the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and message so we can respond to you. This form is processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service. We use this information only to reply to your inquiry and do not add you to any mailing list or share it with anyone else.

Formspree is not authorized to use information collected here for any purpose beyond what's described in this policy and their own privacy policy.
If you're a BC resident, PIPA gives you the right to know what personal information an organization holds about you, request corrections, and ask that it be deleted. Since we only ever hold what you've submitted through our contact form, you can exercise these rights at any time by emailing us — see Contact below.
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
